Brian Hampton

Brian Hampton is very happy to return to OnBroadway PATP. Originally from Virginia, Brian is an award-winning and best-selling playwright and actor in New York City. His plays have been seen Off-Broadway, regionally, and in colleges and high schools across the country. They include: “The Jungle Fun Room,” “Checking In,” and his new teen play, “Gossip,” a cautionary tale about the effects of gossip. Brian has been a Resident Playwright at Northern Stage Company, Wright State University, William Byrd High School, Matoaca High School, and George Washington High School, and is a frequent quest lecturer at middle schools, high schools and universities. Brian is also the founding producer of “The Puzzle” New Play Festival in New York City. In Brian's workshop, he will led and directed a reading with the OnBroadway PATP students of his recently published cautionary one-act play, “Gossip,” and then discussed with the group the role of gossip in their lives and how to respond to it.
