Mentorship Program

On Broadway Dream Connectors

A Mentorship Program

On Broadway Performing Arts Training Program continues to grow by leaps and bounds, but we couldn't execute any of our programs without the fantastic and talented teaching assistants! Beyond performing arts education for our students in the classroom, we are extremely passionate about mentoring these teaching assistants/mentees between the ages of 18-25. We utilize every resource available to us as members of the entertainment community to help these young people realize their full potential and dreams as they work to achieve them!

On Broadway PATP currently has 14 mentees (ages 18-25) and growing! Many of these young mentees have started as teaching assistants and interns with our year-round education programming. They act as mentors to our students as well.

OBPATP supports these mentees in the following ways:

  • Paying for equity dues
  • Preparing them for performing arts High Schools, Colleges, and Master Programs
  • Preparing them for auditions for Broadway, Off- Broadway, Regional Theatre productions, etc.
  • Helping them acquire entertainment internships (Disney, Roundabout Theatre, Polk & Co, etc.)
  • Provide them with a shoulder to cry on and ongoing support
  • Provide them with short term & long term goals and an action plan to achieve
  • Provide them with tickets to shows when available
  • And the list goes on... We are very committed to these young people!

Dream Connectors mentors are like the Big Brothers and Big Sisters

of the entertainment industry.

Mentors support the Dream Connectors mentees in the following ways:

  • Advise and guide young mentees through their journeys in the entertainment industry
  • Meet with mentees once or twice a month just to connect and provide support
  • Help prepare mentees for upcoming auditions and/or job interviews
  • Attend events and shows with mentees to provide them with insight into the industry
