Heather Hill's

Heather Hill's career encompasses appearances in opera, oratorio, musical theater, television and film. She is currently performing as the InnKeeper’s Wife and Carlotta understudy in the Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera. She joined Phantom after completing a historical run in the Tony Award winning Broadway revival of The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. Ms. Hill maintains a concert schedule amidst her broadway work. In May 2014, Ms. Hill was the Soloist in New York premiere of Gloria by Robert Harris in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, NY. In July 2014, she performed in “Masterworks: Grand Opera Matinee” as part of the Hot Summer Nights Festival with the Missouri Symphony. Also in July of 2014, Ms. Hill reprised the role of Clara in the operatic production of Porgy and Bess at the Landestheater in Linz, Austria and Festival de Wiltz in Wiltz, Luxembourg.

Additional recent performances include Carmina Burana with the Las Cruzas Symphony, Carmina Burana and the Lord Nelson Mass at Carnegie Hall, Handel's Messiah with the Bach Society of Central Florida and Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem, NY. Ms. Hill can be heard on the 2012 Broadway cast album of The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. She is also a featured soloist 2011 Lincoln Center live recording of Knickerbocker Holiday with the Collegiate Chorale, available on Sh-K-Boom Records. Favorite opera credits include covering the trouser role of Pip in the world premiere of Jake Heggie’s opera Moby-Dick with The Dallas Opera conducted by Patrick Summers, Azema in Semiramide and Adina in L’Elisir D’Amore (cover) with Caramoor Summer Festival, Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte with Bronx Opera, Dessie in Strange Fruit with New York City Opera Vox Series, Clara in Porgy and Bess on a European tour with Harlem Productions, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Dionisia in the world premiere of La Curandera by Robert Xavier Rodríguez both with Opera Colorado. As a frequent concert soloist, Ms. Hill sang the role of Model and Poet in Kurt Weill’s Firebrand of Florence at Lincoln Center. She performed the role of Waitress in the world premiere two-act concert version of The Grapes of Wrath by composer Ricky Ian Gordon in March of 2010 at Carnegie Hall. Heather is a recipient of awards and prizes from numerous arts organizations including The Colorado Allied Arts Award, the Liederkranz Foundation , The Gerda Lissner Foundation, Denver Lyric Opera Guild, and the Connecticut Opera Guild. She holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from The Manhattan School of Music, a B.S. degree in Biology from Clark Atlanta University and studied acting at the T. Schreiber Studio in New York and the National Theater Conservatory in Denver.
